CII - National Awards for Excellence in Water Management 2017
CII-Triveni Water Institute, CII’s Center of Excellence on Water organises the CII National Awards for Excellence in Water Management to celebrate and reward outstanding innovation, promising water conservation and management practices undertaken by Indian industries from varied sectors.The objective of the Award Scheme is to recognize and Award “Excellence” in Water Management in industries and facilitate sharing of information by excellent water efficient companies and instil a “senses of competition” to motivate other industries /plants toachieve excellence in Water management. The Awards measure performance and provide detailed feedback for opportunities to excel while maintaining strong competition and high standards of excellence.

The process of selection of awardees under the new version follows world class procedures (evaluation tools and techniques that also make use of satellite information) and has in place a robust methodology which includes site verification. The Awards measure performance and provides detailed feedback for opportunities to excel while maintaining strong competition and high standards of excellence. The year 2017 would witness the 11th edition of these awards.
CII Western Region QC Circle Competition
Quality Control Circles create a conducive and stimulating atmosphere for the workers such that their creativity can be energized and properly canalized. QCC Competition provides a unique opportunity to motivate workers to form Quality Circles within the company and also provides them a forum to exchange ideas and share theirs experiences. It is beneficial for senior managers, supervisors and management personnel.
CII Western Region Kaizen Competition
Kaizen is a system of continuous improvement in quality, technology, processes, company culture, productivity, safety and leadership. In today’s scenario, “Kaizen activity “ is one of the benchmarked tools that not only enhances the growth of any Organisation, but also uplifts the Morale of the employees, setting a good example of “employer - employee relationships”, as it calls for collaboration, commitment & teamwork from top to down.
QC Circle Competition for Operators
This award is instituted inorder to motivate workers among member companies to form quality circles within their company and also to provide them a forum to exchange their ideas and share their experiences.
Leadership and Excellence Award in Environment Health & Safety (EHS)
The Leadership and Excellence Award in Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Award was instituted in the year 2002. The aim is to recognize, motivate and facilitate corporates to adopt innovative practices in EHS.
Northern Regional Work Skills Competition
The workskills competition is conducted at the Regional level first, followed by the National Competitions, to encourage workers in the industry by recognising excellence in skill through organised competitions in select trades.
Northern Regional / State Level Quality Competition
The QC Circle Competition, an annual feature since 1986, is the culmination of the State, Regional and National conventions that take place throughout the year as part of CII’s continuous efforts to strengthen the Quality movement in India.

SIX SIGMA has proven across the world and over the wide spectrum of Industries, the power of changing “Business of Quality” to “Quality of Business” by integrating business and quality strategies.
CII (ER) Annual Productivity Awards
Every year CII (ER) has an annual award scheme to recognize the excellence of its members in the sphere of productivity during the year. The award is to recognise excellence in Productivity in an organization. The objective of this award is to give recognition to member companies who are making systematic and serious attempts to enhance productivity. The award was instituted in the early 1980s which recognises significant improvements in productivity as well as achievement of a sustained high level of overall productivity. The Award is presented during the Annual Regional Meeting of CII Eastern Region.
CII(ER) Quality Award
CII (ER) has been giving Quality Awards since 1988. The objectives of presenting these Awards are two-fold. 1. Recognizing a CII (ER) member company, which can serve as a model to others in methods & systems, practiced in pursuing the concept of “Total Quality”. 2. Encouraging competition amongst members for bringing about further improvements in these methods and systems for moving towards “Total Quality”.
Best Kaizen Award - Trophy
Indian industry is implementing kaizens for becoming competitive in the global scenario. From, CII - TPM Club India we would like to bring out the best kaizens implemented so that it benefits the Indian Industry as a whole. The excellent work done inside companies is otherwise hidden if not given a good exposure. To achieve the above objective, Kaizen Conference has been designed not only for achieving the purpose of spreading the good work done by companies but also to recognize the best of the competing kaizens with Kaizen Trophy. This competition is very severe and intense with more than 50 kaizens participating in each edition. A total of 5 winners are selected from different categories to carry the best kaizen award in the form of a trophy.
