Agriculture and Allied Sectors contribution to the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Odisha is estimated to be about 19.91% and key to the transformation of the State’s rural economy. It provides employment and livelihood opportunities, both direct and indirect, to more than 60% of the total workforce. The State has gross cultivated land of about 61.80 lakh hectares.
Governments policies and programmes, aimed at enhancing farmers income by enhancing productivity, providing market access and ensuring value addition through optimum utilization of land, water, soil and plant resources of the Odisha farming community through agriculture extension services and the development of fisheries and the animal resources sector .
It is against this backdrop Department of Agriculture and Farmer's empowerment, Government of Odisha in association with CII is organising Krushi Odisha, from 6 – 9 March 2018 at Bijupattnaik Ground, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
