We are pleased to inform you that Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with the support of Ministry of External Affairs is organizing a business delegation to Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania from 25 June - 3 July, 2018.
Senior Leaders from organisations looking at East Africa are invited to participate in these delegations as it would be of immense value, not only in strengthening India’s cooperation but also showcasing the potential that the Indian industry has, to partner with these African countries in our common goal towards a developed future.
This delegation will consist of Export Heads, Representatives of Indian Industry including manufacturers, contractors, consultancy firms. The main objective of this delegation to meet and interact with various stakeholders, distributors, buyers in Africa to showcase the capabilities of the Indian companies. Some of the leading sectors of potential for India in these countries include Engineering sectors (especially electrical equipment), agri-mechanisation (farm equipment, tractors, technology), agro-chemicals, renewable energy items including solar pumps, construction materials, mining goods, auto components, medical disposables, surgical instruments, hospital equipment, consumer goods amongst others.
The delegation programme will visit Kampala, Uganda on 25 - 26h June, Nairobi, Kenya on 28 – 29 June and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on 2 – 3 July 2018, which will coincide with the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair. To cover the administrative fees of organizing the mission, CII has proposed a nominal fees of INR 50,000 exclusive of GST per participant. (Air travel, stay at hotels and local transportation is to be borne by the participant).
