Uttarakhand has witnessed industry led growth since its inception in 2000. Industry today contributes more than 1/3rd to the state’s economy. With the central investment package no longer available to industries in the State, new investment in the industrial sector has slowed down. Another pattern of the industrial development has been that by its very nature it has been limited to mostly three plain districts in the State – Haridwar, Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar. CII believes that going forward two areas demand immediate attention: Sustaining the Industry in the State as it is a key component of the State’s Economy and Hill Development.
Against this backdrop, I am pleased to share with you that CII Uttarakhand State Council is organizing its Annual Day & Conference on Growth Agenda for Uttarakhand, with specific focus on Retaining Existing Industry & Developing Hill Economy. The Session is scheduled on Wednesday, 28 February 2018 from 1130 Hrs – 1600 Hrs at Hotel Madhuban, Rajpur Road, Dehradun.
Conference focus sessions:
Special Plenary on Development of Hills in Uttarakhand for Inclusive Growth
Panel Discussion on Simplifying Doing Business in Uttarakhand
