CII Telangana is organising the 13th edition of its Flagship Event – The HR Conclave on 03 November 2017 at Hyderabad. The HR Conclave is a premier annual event of CII Telangana which brings together thought leaders from across the country to discuss and deliberate on emerging HR themes. On an average over 250 experienced HR practitioners from Hyderabad and Southern States participate in the Conclave. The HR Conclave has always been a great place for the HR fraternity to meet, interact and learn/ refresh HR knowledge and skills. This year the theme for the Conclave is when whY has the answers – ‘The Gen Y (New Age) HR Challenges and Insights’
As we browse the India Inc. profile one noticeable change which we observe is that the demographic profile of the employees is getting younger by the day. The extraordinary aspect is that Young Leadership is not alien anymore.
Numerous papers have been published on; What Constitutes Gen Y? What are their Work Ethos? How is Gen Y different from other Generations and so on. But seldom have we discussed how do we address these challenges, what are some of the best / inspiring practices which we can learn and adapt from those organizations which have solved this puzzle and most critically listen to this generation as to what they think about themselves and what are their perspectives on the challenges we plan to address.
Recognizing this fact and the imperative role of this generation, this conclave unravels the myth; that the current ecosystem is spending most of the time questioning (Why) we do the things the way we do; but is equally good at solving some of the current challenges by bringing in different and radical perspectives and at times providing great insights on some of the contemporary issues we are grappling with.
