India hosts students from each of the ten member countries of the ASEAN to facilitate them with an opportunity to understand and learn about India’s myriad changes from its diverse cultural heritage to its strong political ideologies to a resurgent Industrial sector. The objective of the visit is to enable the students with a perspective on the Indian Industry and financial system.
CII at the request of Ministry of External Affairs, organized the first ever visit of 100 + students from ASEAN countries to India from 9 -17 December 2007. Keeping in view the successful visits of the 100 students from 2007 to 2016; the ASEAN Secretariat would be organizing to send the next batch of 125 students from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR and Malaysia.
This programme will focus on interaction with their counterparts in India as well as visits to the institutes as well as visits to plants and factories, places of historical and cultural interest, to enable them to get a first-hand experience of India. Through this programme we hope to bridge the information gap and practically increase the one to one contact with people of both our region for better understanding.
This year, the ASEAN delegation of about 125 students will be in Mumbai on 15 – 16 January 2018 and would be very keen to meet and interact with you during their stay in Mumbai.
