Per the Hon’ble Indian Prime Minister and Hon’ble South African Prime Minister, India-South Africa bilateral trade and investment must be doubled by 2021. To support and expedite the achievement of this joint strategic mission, the Indian High Commission in South Africa, in partnership with Invest India and multiple other stakeholders, is organizing the ‘India-South Africa Business Summit (ISABS 2018)’ in Johannesburg on 29th-30th April 2018.
The summit is foreseen as an intense two days of showcasing India – recent reforms, investment opportunities, ‘Make in India’ and cultural aspects – to government, private sector and the people of South Africa and SADC countries, with a special focus on the Indian diaspora. The event shall open new avenues of cooperation between India and South Africa.
The event is proposed to be a multi sectoral event aimed at fostering business partnerships and taking Indo-South African economic relations to a new height. It will also be used as an opportunity to leverage India’s ties in the SADC region through acceleration of bilateral engagements with all member states.
The Summit will see participation from multiple stakeholders in India, South Africa and other SADC Member Countries.
