Intellectual property laws and policies are presumed to be a key component of all innovation and technological frameworks. This is particularly pertinent in the context of fourth industrial revolution, also known as Industry 4.0 that has revolutionized almost all sectors with the latest technological advancements. In this era of rapid technological change, the landscape of IP laws and policies may also need to be revisited so that they are in conformity with these new or redefined concepts.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is known for its accelerated role in promoting awareness, training and interactions among various stake holders within and outside India in the field of IPRs, covering a broad gamut of technical IPR issues in various areas such as trade secrets, piracy and counterfeiting, enforcement practices, best practices in IPR protection, technology transfer and licensing, and innovation and IPR management.
CII in the past had successfully conducted the 1st International Conference on Intellectual Property Law & Enforcement of IPR in November, 2014 and December 2015 with support of DIPP and IPO.
With this background, CII is planning to organise an “International Conference on Protection of Intellectual Property Law and Enforcement with the theme of “the face of Industry 4.0”28-29 Nov, 2017.
