Young Indians, Visakhapatnam Chapter organised its 8th Annual Session and Interactive Session with Mr Jayadev Galla, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha on 6 March 2017 in Visakhapatnam.

Mr Deepak Manu Menda, Proprietor, Preeti Tubes has been appointed as the Chapter Chair, Young Indians Visakhapatnam Chapter for the year 2017-18. Mr Deepak Menda is a Master in International Business from the GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade, 1997-1999 batch. He is an active social member of Round Table India since 2001. He has played an important role nationally and locally. He was the first National President of Round Table India from the city of Vizag. He was the Trustee of Round Table India for 4 years, Managing Trustee for 1 year and Round Table Foundation for 3 years.

Mr KVT Ramesh, Managing Director, Maharshi Academy was appointed as the Chapter Co-Chair of the Young Indians Visakhapatnam Chapter for the year 2017-18. Hailing from the quaint and beautiful town of Palakol in AP, Graduating from Andhra University with a Biotech degree this multitalented personality has been in businesses as diverse as Soft drink manufacturing to Consumer product distribution to Branding and printing. Last year, he was certified by referral institute as a Certified Networker in San Francisco, USA.

Mr G S Shiv Kumar, Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh & CEO, Maple Software Pvt Ltd briefed on the role of Young Indians in Innovation and development of the society.

Ms Poonam Shah Srinath, Regional Chair, Young Indians (Southern Region) spoke on the roles and responsibilities of Young Indians in Nation building and also how Yi is playing an active and important role in working with all the stakeholders in shaping the young minds of India to participate in this journey.

Mr D Akhilesh Reddy, Chair, Young Indians (Visakhapatnam Chapter) welcomed all the speakers and made a detailed presentation on the activities of Young Indians Visakhapatnam Chapter for the year 2016-17. During his presentation, he mentioned the highlights and milestones Young Indians Visakhapatnam Chapter had achieved during his term. He praised the support received from his team members. He also mentioned that there was a huge improvement in the number of programmes organised in terms of quality & versatility. Enrollment of 1654 students for the YUVA Student Net was the best achievement of his term & the Visakhapatnam Chapter as it stood Numero Uno in this category, Mr Reddy explained.

On the occasion of this special day, Young Indians Visakhapatnam Chapter also organised an Interactive Session with Mr Jayadev Galla, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Guntur Constituency, Andhra Pradesh. During his keynote address Mr Galla emphasized the importance of Youth Power in building a nation as far as a country like India is concerned. He also mentioned that world is changing fast and one needs to keep on changing according to the need of the hour. Keeping on exploring and hungry for opportunities, being ready to accept the challenges in whatever manner it comes to one’s doorsteps and taking calculative risks will bring out the real you, he stressed upon. Concluding his speech, he urged the young ones to do the best & forget the rest to prove their worth.
