The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jointly with Employee’s Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) organized a workshop on e-Seva & Interactive session with Mr M Mathiazhagan, Regional P.F. Commissioner-I (Tambaram Region). The session was mainly organized to create awareness among the employers on the newly introduced online electronic filling of return and generation of e-Challan facility.

Mr K Amarnath, Vice Chairman, CII Puducherry while giving his inaugural address spoke on how important the EPF Scheme is beneficial for the employees. He emphasized how EPF is important for employees and employers. EPF department has been trying to upgrade and provide better service for the employees. EPFO is introducing e-Seva service for the benefit of the employees in upgrading and to provide better service by way of e-filling and introducing e-Challan system to eliminate paper work.

Addressing the gathering, Mr M Mathiazhagan elaborated on the e-save concept which is newly introduced in by the EPFO. This upgrading would help employers with a greater transparency, better quality of service to employees, greater convenience and ease to employers. He also mentioned the advantages on the e-filling by a detail presentation by the EPFO.

Mr M S Vijayaraghavan Past Chairman, CII Puducherry while giving the concluding remarks touched upon the newly introduced concept which is an advanced system for the EPF filling. More than 150 representatives from various industries in and around Puducherry attended the session.
