AROGYA 2012

Department of AYUSH - Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Government of India, and the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the Government of Odisha, in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised AROGYA 2012 keeping in mind the demand for “Alternative Medicine”. The objective of this fair is to create awareness on the benefits of ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy, unani, siddha and homoeopathy and integrate these in the mainstream healthcare delivery structure.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the second edition of AROGYA 2012, a four-day health fair that aims to display and promote the strengths and potential of India’s traditional medicinal systems, at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar on November 9.

With over 5000 Sq. Mts. dedicated for this healthy initiative, around 100 exhibitors came to showcase their products and services utilizing more than 150 stalls. Around 30 % of the stalls were taken up by the National players in the industry and 70% of the stalls were allotted for the State level companies.

Apart from ministers and senior government officials from Odisha as well as other States, the event was attended by a large number of manufacturers, AYUSH Doctors, researcher’s, retailers, consultants, industry associations and end-users gather under one roof and take part in seminars and conferences.
