CII-Yi Organized Industrial Visit for the students of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, Bhilai in Sarda Energy & Minerals Limited and Godawari Power & Ispat Limited, Siltara on 19 January 2013

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Young Indians Raipur Chapter organized an industrial visit for the students of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, Bhilai in Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd and Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd, Siltara on 19 January 2013. Mr Sharad Goel, President, SEML addressed the students about Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd which was earlier known as Raipur Alloys & Steel Ltd. He explained the process of conversion of raw materials to the finished product. He also stressed on the optimum utilization of the available resources, increase the productivity & efficiency, keeping into consideration the health, safety & environmental balances. During the visit in GPIL the students were briefed about the production of power and the optimum utilization of power produced for steel making process. They were also briefed about the safety measures taken in the industry to prevent man hour losses. The students of SSTC Bhilai experienced the process and also witnessed the technological upgradation that have made the process more effective, value yielding, time and energy efficient in their visit in Power Plants, Steel Plants, Ferro Alloys units etc Mr Sharad Goel, President, SEML, Dr Sumita Dave, HOD, Faculty of Management Studies, SSTC, Dr Saket Ranjan Praveer, SSTC, Bhilai and team of Faculties & Students of SSTC, Bhilai, CII-Yi Secretariat along with team of SEML and GPIL, Silatara were present during the industrial visit.
