CII J&K State council organized its Annual Session for the year 2012 – 13 on 18th March 2013 in Jammu. Mr Waseem Trumboo, Chairman CII J&K State Council and Director Trumboo Industries Pvt Ltd. welcomed all the members and guests at the session and presented the activities done by CII J&K State Council in 2012-13.
Mr Malvinder Mohan Singh, Chairman CII Northern Region and Executive Chairman, Fortis Healthcare Ltd. was also present at the session. Mr Singh while appreciating the active involvement of all the members of the council congratulated Mr Trumboo for the great work done during the year.
He congratulated Mr Trumboo for organizing the first ever Business Mission to USA and said that the same was appreciated by all fronts.
Commenting on the other activities organized during the year, he said that learning Missions on Manufacturing and best HR practices, Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights, Seminar on Sustainable Water Management in Industries, MSME Conclave, etc. were meticulously planned and seamlessly executed.
He said that Last year further cemented ties between the government and Industry. He appreciated that State Council had the privilege of interacting with the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Industry Minister, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Govt of J & K and has built good relationship with the top officials of various departments. He also said that the interaction with Dr Veerappa Moily, Former Union Minister for Corporate Affairs and Mr S Ramadorai, Advisor to Hon’ble Prime Minister was quite appreciable.
Mr Anil Mahajan, Vice Chairman CII J&K State Council and partner KC Paint Factory presented formal vote of thanks.
Besides Business Session wherein there was a recap of previous year’s activities, Public Session on Growth Driver for J&K; MSMEs was also organized at which Mr Shantmanu, Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce Department, Government of J&K was Chief Guest.
Later during the day, the 1st meeting of CII J&K State Council for 2013 – 14 was organised where Mr Anil Mahajan, Partner, K C Paints and Mr Asif Iqbal Burza, Director Sentor Inns Pvt Ltd, were elected as Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively of J&K State Council 2013 – 14. Mr Sheikh Imran was also elected as Chairman, CII Kashmir Zone.
