Yi Srinagar Chapter in association with J&K Health Department, Kashmir organized a special program on the eve of World Health Day at Conference hall, J&K Health Dept Kashmir. The idea of organizing the program on World Health Day was to highlight the efforts required to put Health as a top priority in life.

On this Occasion, Dr. Amit Wanchoo, Chair Yi Srinagar and C.E.O SPACE Communications stressed on importance of awareness regarding health rights and the important role played by all the young and dedicated health workers of Kashmir. He further said that Health is the most precious gift and unfortunately during present times our generation especially youngsters are not prioritizing the beauty of being healthy. Dr. Wanchoo thanked Dr. Saleem ur Rehman, Director Health, Kashmir, Ms Shaneer Khan, Health Coordinator, Voluntary Health Organization (NGO) stressed on helping and supporting this initiative.

Dr. Saleem ur Rehman had an interaction with all the health workers and appreciates their support in far flung areas of Kashmir where doctors and para medical staff is not present. Ms Shaneer Khan sensitize them about the importance of healthy life style. She focused on the role of ASHA and Medicos to aware masses about drawbacks of unhygienic life style. She further added that nowadays due to highly competitive nature of living one needs to be more concerned of his health. Health supports in various forms of personality development so that one can be the best a performer in his/her respective fields, On this occasion Dr Amit Wanchoo, announced the cash prize of Rs 5000 for the best ASHA health worker refer by the Health Dept in every 2 months. There was a special presentation made by Health Departments making it an awareness session about the health in Kashmir.
