Yi Ludhiana Pathfinder 2013

Ms Sfiti Riat, Chair, Young Indians (Ludhiana Chapter) welcome the members to the Pathfinder of Yi Ludhiana Chapter held at A’Hotel, Ludhiana on 11th May 2013.  She also welcomed Mr D L Sharma, Chairman, CII Punjab State Council and Mr Vishal Juneja, Vice Chairman, CII Ludhiana Zonal Council to become part of this crucial meeting which would decide the path of Yi Ludhiana Chapter for the year 2013-14.

During her opening remarks, she shared her experience about the Yi National Pathfinder held at Puducherry in the month of April. She also talked about Pathfinder vision, policy advocacy, vision of Yi in her opening speech. She stressed upon the fact that in order to achieve the vision of Yi which is ‘To become the voice of young Indians globally’, we should have our presence in Pan India and especially, other states of Punjab like Amritsar and Jallandhar. She also emphasised the importance of engaging youth from all walks of life in Yi Ludhiana Chapter Membership.

Later, she announced the  name of the verticals that Yi Ludhiana has planned to work upon along with the names of chair and co chair who will represent these verticals. Learning, Arts sports and Culture, Healthcare, Youth affairs (Yi Net) are amongst few of the key verticals that Yi Ludhiana will focus on as per their work plan for the year 2013-14. 

Ms Jinny Riat, Coach and Consultant, Thinking Partners  welcomed the new chair and co chair of proposed verticals. To assist Yi Ludhiana Chapter with its robust work plan for this year, she divided the into groups of three & asked them to discuss about -“What would you like Yi Ludhiana chapter to be known for ”. After regular rotation of members & keeping host of each table remains the same, ideas and thoughts came on paper sheets. Finally OB’s defined the Yi-Ludhiana propaganda based on three pillars of thoughts:-

1. Catalyst for social empowerment & development
2. Creating Benchmark
3. Generating Revolution

Mr D L Sharma, Chairman, CII Punjab State Council, appreciated and delighted with the exchange of ideas and thoughts that were discussed during Pathfinder. He also stressed upon the fact that engagement of members is very important when it comes to execute and implement any activity of CII and Yi and one can achieve that with the help of good leadership and through effective team work.
Ms Sifti Riat in her concluding remarks thanked the members present on the occasion and also asked for their continuous and valuable support in the future.
