CII organizes interactive session on investment opportunities in Wales, UK

The Confederation of Indian Industry organized an interactive session on 'Investment Opportunities in Wales, United Kingdom'. The session provided an opportunity for the industry members to understand about the various schemes and business opportunities for Indian businesses for investments and trade with Wales and to closely interact with officials from Welsh Government to explore opportunities.

“The investors will have direct access to Welsh Government officials, who will invest time and effort in making business successful. Government commitments include investing in infrastructure, innovation and improving the business environment. The Welsh Government Supports high performing, quality companies in all those parts of the economy which can create employment, wealth and a sustainable Wales.” - Mr Harbhajan Singh, Chairman CII Gurgaon Zone & Senior Vice President & Corporate and General Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd

“Wales is especially strong in sectors such as aerospace, defense and manufacturing, with companies like Airbus, Exide, BAE and GE aviation located there and this brings Haryana’s further interest in the region. Wales undertakes 25% of all of the UK’s Maintenance, repair and operations activity.  Life sciences are another priority sector for Wales, with cutting edge R&D taking place and Indian and international companies like Tata Corus, RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, Neterwala Group, Wockhardt Group having presence in the region. Other key sectors for Wales are Creative industries, ICT, Financial and Professional Services and Education.” - Ms Julie Russell, Welsh Government, UK
