Textile & apparel industry of India has established itself as a leading exporter and consumption base. Today the combined market size of exports and domestic consumption of the industry stands at US$ 125 bn. In the recently concluded Textiles India 2017, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi explained his vision of achieving US$ 160 bn. growth by 2025 for the domestic market which currently is at US$ 85 bn. To attain such a high growth target, the industry will be required to reform, perform and transform its traditional functioning and outlook.
