India’s wider periphery represents one of the most dynamic and vibrant economic regions in the world, yet it also faces developmental challenges of inclusive growth, promoting gender parity, and ensuring digital and financial access to all. Foundational tenets of investments and infrastructure construction that will drive growth remain the foremost tasks for the region, particularly for connecting countries across borders. This is overlaid with additional imperatives of mitigating climate change and aligning with and even driving technological transformation. India has assumed a key role in articulating the needs of emerging economies and has hosted two conferences relating to issues of the Global South.

How can the Global South work on developmental challenges facing the region? What are the new partnerships that can facilitate countries to grow together and make global supply chains resilient and effective instruments of growth for all?
