CII Workshop on Total Cost Management

The Confederation of Indian Industry has established the Total Cost Management Division to offer a gamut of knowledge and solutions to industries on their journey to achieve the cost and competitive advantage in their industries.

The Indian Industry has evolved from a simplistic ‘cost-plus pricing structure’ to a ‘competitive product pricing era’, where the market determines prices. CII TCM Division believes that ‘connecting business to costs’ is the best way of managing cost and profitability paradigm and eventually achieve the aspirational strategic intent of ‘growth with profit’.

CII Malwa Zone and CII Centre is orgainzing a Worksop on Total Cost Management in Indore on 11th April 2025 from 0930 Hrs to 1600 Hrs.

Objectives:

• To disseminate knowledge, techniques and methods for effective cost management and increased profitability in businesses.
• To incubate and upskill managerial personnel on ‘Total Cost Management’ domain.
• Exposure to best-in-class case studies of blue-chip companies who are practitioners of TCM.
• To help provide a holistic framework to map, control, reduce and eliminate costs.

Topics to be covered:

• What is TCM and differentiating from conventional cost accounting / cost reduction / cost saving approach.
• CII TCM Framework and its applicability in businesses for profit enhancement.
• TCM Tools – ABC, ABM, Target costing, Inventory management, TCO (Total Cost of ownership)
• Case study analysis of 2 large companies with TCM architecture.

Target Audience:

• The training program has been designed mainly for both finance and non-finance professionals at mid-level managerial band.
• Shopfloor / Process Engineers and Managers from manufacturing / service sectors across industry sectors.
• Financial / Non-finance Professionals (marketing, procurement, logistics, R&D, administration) and Consultants
• Business Finance team leaders / Cost Managers / Accountants

The faculty for the training program will be professionals from CII-TCM Division. The faculty has over 30 years of industry / consulting experience across industries with exposure to over 500 companies.
