CII Smart Manufacturing Summit
09 - 13 November 2020
Industry 4.0 has transformed the Manufacturing sector in many ways. It calls into question the very definition of manufacturing as it is blurring the lines between tangible and intangible, digital and physical, product, and service. At its core, it redefines how manufacturers derive and deliver value. And as manufacturing is digitized, a whole new universe of production data opens up endless possibilities for monetization - new services, platforms, and payment models.
It has been emphasized several times by Indian Government that there is a need to enhance India’s competitiveness in global economy while encouraging ‘local’ production to further support the Make in India vision of the Prime Minister.
In view of the above, CII is organising a high-level digital conference to bring together international and domestic experts from the Government, industry, academia, associations and multi-lateral agencies to deliberate on co-development of low cost and affordable technology with International partnerships, creating a technology facilitation platform for the MSMEs at subsidized rates and conclude with some key takeaways on the action points and recommendations that could be addressed by Government to promote technology adoption by MSMEs.
International partnerships are essential to the future of digital manufacturing and to facilitate the same we have partnered with Germany as Country Partner to Summit. Learning from their best practices will help leverage existing technology innovations and eliminate the need for re-inventing the wheel.
The rise of Industry 4.0 is a transformation that makes it possible to gather and analyze data across machines, enabling faster, more flexible, and more efficient processes to produce higher-quality goods at reduced costs.
