Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing the 2nd edition of Next-Gen eMobility Summit on Friday, 24 May 2019 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
The global automotive industry is on the verge of disruption. Digitization, increasing automation, and new business models have revolutionized other industries, and the automotive industry will be no exception to such a revolution. The Indian automotive industry has started to experience the effects of this global disruption. There is an urgent need for a platform to exchange ideas on how the India automotive sector can contribute to India's vision and priority of replacing conventional vehicles with electric vehicles by the year 2030. With rapidly evolving technologies and business models, there is need to adopt new and fundamentally different pathways to provide clean, cost-effective, and efficient mobility services that are safe, create new jobs, reduce dependence on oil imports, and achieve more efficient land-use in cities with the least environmental footprints and impacts on human health. A rapidly developing India is at the cusp of making such a transition to new mobility solutions.
The summit will focus on the electric vehicle ecosystem, the government’s steps towards promoting it, the automobile industry’s readiness for EV, the possibility of building economically viable charging infrastructure, and battery technologies that can be improved and adopted.
The Summit would cover some of the interesting sessions like:
