Confederation of Indian Industry with the support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India will be organizing the India – Africa Higher Education and Skill Development Summit from 26 - 27, August 2019 at Eros Hotel, New Delhi.
This event will comprise of conference, an exhibition and B2B meeting opportunities with various stakeholders in the education and skill development sector. It will be the first of its kind platform in India specifically aimed at multi-level collaboration between India and identified African countries, in this area.
The Summit aims to attract participation of leaders from top educational institutions; education boards; companies involved in training; senior government officials; professionals in field of education & education marketing and all other individuals associated with this sector in India and Africa. Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, DR Congo, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Mauritius and Rwanda are the focus countries from Africa identified for this maiden edition of the Summit.
The focus of the summit would be:
To showcase the strengths of and opportunities at Indian and African Universities and other organizations involved in tertiary education.
To bring relevant stakeholders from both the African and Indian side to discuss areas for collaboration and success story replication.
To highlight the skill development initiatives been undertaken by Indian Inc, how they have helped in the growth of the Indian economy and how they can be emulated in Africa.
To understand the similarities and differences in the Indian and African education systems and how we can learn from each other’s achievements.
