Arvind Kaushik
Mr. Arvind Kaushik is a post graduate Chemical Engineer from IIT Kanpur 1990. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from IIT Roorkee in 1986. He is also BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency , Govt. of India) certified Energy Manager.
Mr. Kaushik has vast and varied experience of over 25 years in the design of thermal equipment, process optimization, energy conservation in process plants, dynamic simulation of process and power plants, commissioning and trouble-shooting in India and overseas. At present, as Sr. Dy. General Manager (R&D) he is leading a team of Mechanical and Chemical Engineers in the Thermal Engineering Group of Research & Development at Larsen & Toubro Limited, Mumbai.
Mr. Kaushik has worked in the areas related to the energy conservation in steam systems, increasing efficiency of boilers, design of melt crystallizers, pervaporation membrane systems, Gas suspension calciners, design of thermal equipment and energy optimization of process. Since graduation he has served several reputed organizations such as Hindalco Industries Limited, The Energy and Resources Institute, (TERI) New Delhi, Sulzer India Limited, Pune, and Forbes Marshall , Pune.
His current areas of interest are Low temperature thermal desalination, thermal energy storage systems, dynamic simulation of power plants, energy optimization of industrial processes and commissioning and trouble-shooting of process equipment
Mr. Arvind kaushik has published 5 technical papers in reputed journals and applied for a patent Title: "Apparatus for recovery of heat from a waste heat fluid" Indian Patent Application No. : 3641/MUM/2011 Filed on: 23 December 2011
He is actively associated with the Indian Chemical Council and conducts lectures on heat exchanger design and optimization for industry participants. He has displayed 2/4 exemplary innovative and leadership skills in various assignments handled by him all throughout his Career.
