MG Raghuraman is the Chief Information Officer of MphasiS, a Global IT services company. Prior to his taking up the role as CIO in May 2010, he had served in senior executive positions in Mphasis, as President of ITO business, Head of Delivery in Applications Management for international clients, and also Head of Business Operations .
As the CIO, he drives the integrated technology architecture for Mphasis including both IT infrastructure and Enterprise applications. He has ensured IT agility for Mphasis business growth, enhanced employees' technology experience, and has been a spearhead in continual optimisation of IT cost for the company over the last 4 years .He has been a pioneer in moving to the cloud and is focussed on employing cutting edge technologies.
He has wide and deep experience in IT outsourcing, program management ,optimisation and automation of business . He is a member of the Technology Advisory forum for Airtel and is currently the Convenor of the IT panel for Karnataka CII Chapter. He is a frequent speaker on panels on cloud computing in IT forums.
His 32-year work experience includes a long stint in the manufacturing and transportation domain, when he worked for the Indian Railways Service prior to joining MphasiS, donning several leadership positions in Transportation operation and manufacturing.
He had also executed several mega projects successfully in his career , demonstrating his expertise in Program and Project Management
He is a graduate Mechanical Engineer , and Post Graduate in Software Systems. He is a 6-Sigma Green belt and a certified PMP.
