Prashant Mascarenhas
Prashant Mascarenhas is responsible for driving value to clients by delivering Solutions that use Technology & HCL's Services to solve business challenges.
In his capacity as Director of the Customer Solutions Group, he manages a cross-functional team responsible for Solution Architecture & Technology Presales, Business Development and Partner Alliance Management across all industry verticals in India.
This responsibility spans across Infra & Application domains for HCL's Strategic Sourcing, IT Transformation and Infra-led System Integration offerings.
His team is also responsible for supporting the sales teams and working with customers across MEA, ASEAN and ANZ for Solutions Design in Infra SI Projects.
With over 16 years of IT Industry experience, Prashant has been associated with HCL since the start of his career, handling various responsibilities in both technical and managerial capacities, across Infra Solutions Implementation, Customer Support, Program Management and Business Management.
In his current role, Prashant has been responsible for setting up the Datacenter IT Solutions Practice in India which in a short span of 3 years has gained significant market share to grow to be amongst the Top 3 SIs in the market.
Under his leadership, the IT Security Services business for HCLT in India has also doubled in size over the last 5 years and continues to be ranked as the foremost IT Security Services Practice in the country
A technologist at heart, Prashant himself has been the Solution Architect for the Low-latency Datacenter Network & Trading Network Architecture deployed by HCL for two of India's leading Stock Exchanges. He also lead the end-to-end design of a Cloud Datacenter solution, for the first Private Cloud deployed by a Government Agency to offer services for Central Government departments, Ministries and mission-mode projects.
He is currently working closely with HCL's telecom clients across MEA to help them build Cloud offerings to take to their Enterprise clients.
Prashant is part of the India Sales Leadership team and carries the charter of conceptualizing new replicable horizontal/vertical solutions by collaborating closely with customers, technology OEMs and industry thought leaders.
