We are pleased to present the eighth edition of Confederation of Indian Industry’s Quarterly Economics Journal christened as CII ARTHA [Analysis, Research, Thought Leadership & Advocacy]. The journal seeks to provide a sharp, cutting-edge analysis of the key domestic and global macroeconomic indicators which play a critical role in decision making of the corporate sector.
One of the highlights of the journal is the Focus Story. Here the spotlight is on analysing ‘Next Generation Reforms for Boosting India’s Competitiveness’. The section has contributions from Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India and Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj, Past President, CII and Chairman & Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv.
The section on Domestic Trends consists of an assortment of four topical articles. The first discusses the need for policies to create quality employment opportunities for India's growing workforce; the second examines the impact of volatile TOP commodities on overall inflation and suggests measures to control price rises. The third article highlights the Centre's CII Fiscal Performance Index and its importance in measuring fiscal discipline, while the fourth analyzes post-election government investment trends and advocates for a cohesive policy to boost private investment.
Apart from this, the journal has sections on ‘Global Scenario’ and ‘State of States’.
We hope that you find this Journal useful and will look forward to receiving your suggestions.
