Since 1995, CIIs centenary year, CII has been creating Centres of Excellence with the objective to:
- meet a huge unmet need of industry and the society at large that can be met through capacity and capability development
- nurture experts who are skilled and trained on state of art technologies
- have a long term focus in building competitiveness in the centre and in their stakeholders.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Centres of Excellence, catalyse and facilitate to create and sustain capabilities and competitiveness of organizations with a view to impact the Indian society through training, consulting, advise and research to the industry, government in India and Overseas.
CII Centres of excellence provide special advisory services that can benefit an organization in public or private sector(Large, medium, small and Start-ups, government departments, Financial & Educational Institutions and NGOs). These centres of excellence enjoy the trust of their 2000 + customers in India and more than 100 International clients.
With 62 offices, including 10 Centres of Excellence, in India, and 8 overseas offices in Australia, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore, UAE, UK, and USA, as well as institutional partnerships with 350 counterpart organizations in 133 countries, CII serves as a reference point for Indian industry and the international business community.
These centre of excellence provide Specialised Services to build Leadership, Strategy for Sustainability, Identify and Adapt Clean Technologies and Management, Enhance Energy efficiency and become Environment friendly, adopt world class practices in Logistics and Manufacturing Management through the Japanese approach: TQM, TPM, TOC, Lean, Six Sigma, VLFM) and Western approach (M.Sc in Engineering Management with WMG, UK) and help to benchmark for Business Excellence. One of the Centres is dedicated to competence building for SMEs through the cluster approach, and this centre is a one stop shop for this priority sector.
