Government is committed to ensure Transparent Business Environment in the State, Stated Hon’ble Ministers, Government of Andhra Pradesh at CII-Southern Council Meeting

30 August 2019: Visakhapatnam: Sri Mekapati Goutham Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Commerce, Information Technology and Sri Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Culture & Youth Advancement & Sports, Government of Andhra Pradesh addressed Southern Regional Council Members held here today.
Addressing the CII Southern Regional Council Members, Sri Mekapati Goutham Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Commerce, Information Technology, Government of Andhra Pradesh said that Government is focusing on an inclusive model of development. In order to promote transparency in governance, Government is coming up with various measures to maintain conducive investor’s Policies. He stated that economic development and employment generation are important growth drivers for socio-economic prosperity.

In an effort to provide a transparent business environment, to cater to dynamic challenges of various sectoral markets and to meet the expectations of investors, Government is proactively working on the creation of various conducive Policy measures to boost economic growth and development.

He appreciated efforts of Confederation of Indian Industry towards the development of Andhra Pradesh as ideal business destination. He mentioned that Government is focussing on facilitating ease of doing business at the district level. As a part of Ease of Doing Business 2019 Framework, new reforms for facilitating simpler processes for setting up of industries have been introduced. Illustrating on the reforms Sri Goutham Reddy mentioned that exemption of all shops and establishments from renewal under Andhra Pradesh Shops & Establishments Act, Introduction of Single Integrated returns under all labour laws were first of a kind provision introduced in the State. He also emphasised on the need to reduce cost of doing business.

Sri Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Culture & Youth Advancement & Sports, Government of Andhra Pradesh in his address focussed on the Government commitment to ensure transparency and Industry friendly policies to attract investors in to the state. He urged the Industry leaders to invest in the State of Andhra Pradesh and stated that conducive business environment will be ensured.

Referring to the advantage of Andhra Pradesh in general and Visakhapatnam in particular Sri Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that would encourage investors to setup their units in the state.

Mr Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman, CII Southern Region in his address said that skill development and job creation are key areas of focus apart from MSME development.
Mr Satish Reddy, Deputy Chairman, CII Southern Region and Mr Vijay Naidu Galla, Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh and Mr D Ramakrishna, Vice Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh were present during the Session.
