Opening New Horizons: Girls in Aviation
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with Women in Aviation, jointly organised Girls in Aviation Day 2026 for the first time in Mizoram on 29 January 2026 at the Mini Theatre, Lianchhiari Run. Mizoram is the first state in the North East to host such an initiative.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vanlalthlana, Minister of School Education, highlighted the strategic importance of Mizoram in India’s regional aviation roadmap and underlined the need for collaborative efforts between government, industry, and professional bodies to unlock the sector’s full potential. He also stated that the programme is a landmark initiative for Mizoram, as CII has provided a real-world roadmap for Mizo youth.
