Statement on Improved EoDB from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) stated that ease of doing business is on a steep improvement trajectory. Approval processes across Central ministries are getting speedier and more seamless, thanks to relentless efforts of the Government over the last several years.

“The Government of India has been rigorously endeavouring to provide a conducive regulatory environment to businesses in the country which is appreciated by Industry. A series of facilitative reforms, aimed at rationalization and digitization of regulatory processes and procedures, have started yielding results at the ground level. The reform measures encompass the entire life cycle of a business, from start to exit, dealing with all crucial components of ease of doing business,” stated Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII.

CII congratulated the Government on the success of its measures for facilitative administrative processes and will continue to provide feedback and suggestions to further improve ease of doing business in the country.
