11 Overseas Ministers, over 350 participants from 61 countries will congregate at the 29th edition of CII Partnership Summit
Summit to be addressed by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Commerce and Industry Minister Mr Piyush Goyal
Dr S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, Government of India will address the Special Plenary Session of CII Partnership Summit 2024, under the theme “India and the World: Partnerships for Progress”. Mr Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India will be addressing the inaugural session of the mega international convention now in its 29th edition.
Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, this year’s summit, themed “Partnerships for Progress,” will be held on 2-3 December 2024.
The Partnership Summit will be attended by 11 overseas ministers from across the globe, including HE Mr Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation, People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria; HE Mr Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry & Commerce, The Kingdom of Bahrain; HE Mr Lyonpo Namgyal Dorji, Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Employment, Royal Government of Bhutan; HE Mr Nir Barkat, Minister of Economy & Industry, State of Israel; Hon’ble Mr Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Italian Republic; HE Mr Damodar Bhandari, Minister of Industry, Commerce & Supplies, Government of Nepal; HE Mr Serigne Gueye DIOP, Minister of Commerce and Trade of the Republic of Senegal; HE Ms Patricia de Lille, Minister of Tourism, Republic of South Africa; HE Dr Rithi PICH, Secretary of State (Deputy Minister), Ministry of Commerce, Kingdom of Cambodia; HE Mr Minn Minn, Deputy Minister of Commerce, Republic of the Union of Myanmar; and HE Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State of Foreign Trade Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, State of Qatar.
The CII Partnership Summit 2024, held annually since 1995, is a prestigious global platform that brings together business leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and innovators to discuss the road ahead for collective growth and development.
This year, the Partnership Summit will deliberate along the seven broad tracks of trade, future of industrialisation, sustainability and climate action, technology and innovation, growth, geoeconomic framework, and inclusion. It will witness over 30 global speakers from over 30 participating countries, deliberating over 15 technical sessions.
The summit highlights India’s growth journey and investment environment as well as significant initiatives of the Government of India and solid structural reforms. As a rapidly emerging economic powerhouse, India’s unique position as a bridge between developed and developing nations will be highlighted. The summit will explore India’s leadership in fostering trade, technology innovation, and sustainable industrialisation to drive mutual progress.
Bilateral and B2B meetings held alongside are expected to result in significant investment outcomes.
