The Indian automotive industry will experience a healthy change with the onset of the much-anticipated goods and services tax (GST). In this new environment, the automotive supply chain could undergo large-scale adaptation to benefit from a simplified one-market ecosystem. It could improve operations and provide advantages of scale, resulting in a re-engineered distribution footprint and remodeled logistics.
Within this context, the CII-AT Kearney joint study aims to answer two questions:
- What changes will India’s automotive supply chain face with this new tax regime?
- How can organizations gear up to maximize the benefits of these changes?
The study was released at the AUTO SCM 2015: "Gearing up to successfully transform supply chain in the GST Environment” organized by the CII Institute of Logistics on 23-24 July, 2015 at New Delhi.
