A joint CII Institute of Logistics and PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt. Ltd publication titled, “Leveraging IT: Transforming the T&L Sector” was released against the backdrop of the conference on “Role of Technology of Logistics and Supply Chain” organized by the CII Institute of Logistics on 06 February, 2013 in Mumbai.
The report surveys the Indian transportation and logistics (T&L) landscape and details IT interventions in the (T&L) sector. Further, key initiatives undertaken by the Government to accelerate IT penetration in the sector are detailed. A section on Leveraging Emerging Technologies which discusses on leading edge organisations adopting innovative ways of analysing data and tracking business performance parameters is also included.
