The aim of this joint CII-Analysys Mason Study released in December 2010, is to help, develop policy and sector - 'Telecom, Broadband, Information Communications Technology' regulation towards providing broadband access to 700 million Indians (direct or shared) via 214 million connections by 2014 by establishing a pan-India broadband backhaul and access infrastructure.
It also delves into the most appropriate deployment and investment models for the Indian context. The status of the existing backhaul infrastructure along with the existing broadband access infrastructure with key gaps and required investments are also detailed.
