A CII-PwC publication was released against the backdrop of the regional initiative “West Tech Summit 2014 – Technology Summit & Platform” organised by CII with the Government of Maharashtra as Partner State and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) as a Supporting Organisation on 20-21 August, 2014 at Pune.
Great consideration has been given in recent years to the role of technology deployment in enhancing business competitiveness and promoting societal development.
The discussion document builds on the premise that for India to achieve its full growth potential, various sectors such as education, manufacturing particularly automotive and IT/ITeS would need to adopt latest technology options such as cloud computing. Further, adoption of cloud-based IT solutions will allow SME players in these sectors to compete with large competitors globally, reduce cost, improve operational efficiency, stay agile and develop flexible business models to address future growth challenges.
