CII Western Region organized a new and unique initiative - EdgeFarm, for the B School faculty, aiming to nurture a culture of research and knowledge sharing in B schools, with huge implications for practical application in teaching. As envisaged, the activity will also facilitate creation of a repository of knowledge.
EdgeFarm is a Case Study Writing Competition that brings together the Academia and Human Resources functions in Corporate to encourage experiential learning and research in the field of Human Resources and Industrial Relations. It is based on specific topics, under which entries are solicited and evaluated. The 8 best entries will get an opportunity to be presented to an eminent jury, followed by the felicitation of top 3 case study authors.
The competition was held in Mumbai on 27 February, 2015.
It was led by Mr M Damodaran, Former Chairman, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The distinguished jury team consisted of –– Mr K Ramkumar, Executive Director, ICICI Bank; Mr Thiruvengadam, Senior Director, Deloitte Consulting; Dr Asha Bhandarkar, Dean (International Relations) & Distinguished Professor, IMI Delhi; Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, Welingkar Institute of Management; Mr Prabir Jha, President & Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Reliance Industries Limited and Mr Prasad Sawant, Associate-Operations (Employee Surveys, Data Analysis and Research), Great Places to Work.
A Compendium of HR Case studies by B School faculty was released at the competition.
