A joint report title, "Driving Growth Together: A business perspective on the EU-India FTA" was released on 11 June 2025 during Indian Business Delegation, accompanied Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to Stockholm, Sweden on 11 June 2025.
The lndia-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) presents a strategic opportunity to elevate this ambition. Recently, there has been a political push from the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to complete the negotiations by the end of the year. This high-level momentum must now translate inta real and tangible results in the negotiations. The FTA can provide the clarity, predictability and market access that businesses on both sides need to thrive in a more competitive and uncertain global economy.
