The report brought out by CII, gives an appraisal and positioning of the Corporate Bond Market (CBM) in India vis-à-vis key global economies. It is brought out that the CBM as a stable and reliable source of finance, provides a pivotal mechanism for sustaining business investment, infrastructure development and economic growth. Successful global models of infrastructure financing using CBM are studied with a focus on key lessons from these economies for the Indian CBM. Further, the study focuses upon benchmarking global best practices for the Indian CBM and makes an assessment for adapting global best practices into an Indian perspective.
