A report prepared by the CII Working Groups on Health Insurance under the “Policy and Standards” Group in association with Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA). The report was released by Mr. J Hari Narayan, Chairman, IRDA at the 6th Health Insurance Summit 2012 organized on 3rd October in New Delhi.
The report comprises of the working papers submitted by the three sub groups constituted under the “Policy and Standards” Group. The Sub Groups are as Sub Group on “Product Innovation and Pricing”, Sub Group on “Standard Definitions” and the Sub Group on “Universal Health Coverage”. The report has two working papers and one concept note on the Moving towards the Universal Health Coverage of India (the complete paper would be submitted later this year). The working papers have attempted to evolve a methodology and have come up with specific recommendations.
