Investments flowing into a country or any of its regions depend greatly upon the returns that investors expect and at the same time on the ease of doing business. Hence, the necessity to study the investment climate of a country/region/state has a significant bearing on its ability to attract investments.
Taking this further, under “India @75” initiatives, CII Northern Region has come up with the Study - Investment Climate: A Report on Northern States of India. This objective of the Report is to examine and present the environment of doing business in the States and Union Territories of the Northern Region - Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The Report is structured along the following lines:
The Northern Region – An Introduction
Industrial Inputs in the Northern Region
State Industrial Promotion Policies
Ease of Doing Business
New Industrial Investments
The Report was unveiled at the 8th Edition of CII Invest North 2019 on 29th August 2019 at Bengaluru, India.
