CII in association with their Knowledge Partner, IMRB released a report titled ‘Bengal Bioscope - A Big Picture Outlook for Sustainable Growth’ against the backdrop of the CII Big Picture Summit – Vision Bengal organized by CII on 12-13 December, 2014 at Kolkata.
The report which documents the Bengali film industry is based on a market survey and in depth interactions with industry stakeholders. The key theme of the joint CII-IMRB publication is towards formulating a sustainable growth strategy for the Bengali film industry.
With the strategic intent of getting more Bengali film viewers back to the theatres more frequently, the publication focuses on the emerging business models, the importance of internet and innovative viewer engagement methods and the need for original content to attract more Bengali film viewing audiences.
The report also expounds on the increase in content consumption amongst viewers on their mobile sets.
