This report, published jointly by CII and BCG report outlines the way forward for the Indian manufacturing sector. As per the report, about 48 % of the respondents surveyed acknowledge Make-in-India has been closer to reality in 2017 as compared to about 45% in 2016. While this is a good start, how this optimism translates into growth on ground remains to be seen. It will require continued efforts from both industry and policymakers alike in order to reverse the current trend. About 53% respondents believe that the government's drive to improve manufacturing has been effective. This number was 42% in 2015.
