CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre has initiated the concept of world class energy efficiency in Indian Pulp and Paper Industry. As part of this initiative CII-GBC has been compiling the Best Practices in the form of manuals for information sharing. The objective of this manual is to act as a catalyst to promote activities in Indian Pulp & Paper plants towards continuously improving the performance of individual units and thereby move towards the target of achieving world class standards.
This manual contains two parts. The frst part is the outcome of the facilitator project on Cleaner production in Indian Pulp & Paper Industry. This contains the details of the research projects, technologies and the services oered from Swedish companies like IVL, Inventia, PulpEye and Frontway. The second part of the manual was developed based on the information collected regarding the best practices in Emami Paper Mills, ITC PSPD, Bhadrachalam, Seshasayee Paper and Boards Limited, Erode, Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited and West Coast Paper Mill into a document which could be circulated through out Indian Pulp and Paper industry.
