“12 Years of Engaged Leadership-Down the Memory Lane” is a Coffee Table Book published jointly by CII and Sasakawa Peace Foundation that chronicles India Japan Relations, which are bound by the common thread of cultural traditions, principles of democracy, tolerance, pluralism and open society.
Recognizing the importance of dialogue in order to further enhance the Indo-Japan bilateral relationship and strengthen cooperation in fields such as economy, business and security, and develop synergies in working towards regional and global issues, CII and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation have been organizing multi party visits of prominent Indian Parliamentarians to various cities in Japan since 2004. These visits have been crucial in establishing a platform for high level government officials on both sides to deliberate on avenues for deepening and widening the partnership between these two economic powerhouses.
This Coffee Table Book is a memoir which attempts to accumulate the outcomes and developments during these visits and their role in bringing the two nations together.
