The India-Japan relationship has shown tremendous dynamism and has emerged as a strong pole of partnership. The two economies synergize very well with multiple complementarities. India’s large and talent rich labour force can effectively plug into Japan’s workforce opportunities. Likewise, Japan’s technology, smart manufacturing and advanced digital economy represent great value for India’s manufacturing and services sectors.
Merging these respective advantages, and to tap the large Indian market, many Japanese companies have set up their operations in India over the years. With the present confluence of circumstances, it offers an exciting set of opportunities for businesses of both countries to greatly step up their cooperation in the future.
With this background and on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of India - Japan Diplomatic Relations in 2022, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has put together a Compendium of successful stories of India-Japan Business Cooperation to showcase this partnership. Released in the month of December 2022, the compendium covers case studies of business collaboration including Joint Ventures / projects, technical collaborations between Indian and Japanese Companies apart from showcasing the successful Indian companies doing business with Japan, across sectors.
The compendium illustrates some of the defining Indo-Japanese joint ventures and collaborations and aims to encourage businesses on both sides to further stimulate bilateral trade and investments and deepen partnership.
