CII’s 113th edition of quarterly Business Outlook Survey is based on more than 170 responses from large, medium, small and micro firms, covering all regions of the country.
The key findings of the survey include:
CII’s Business Confidence Index soared to the level of 62.9 during the Oct-Dec 2020 quarter, recording an improvement of 25% over the previous quarter’s reading of 50.3.
Half of the respondents (49 percent) have cited unforthcoming demand as a business hurdle.
Majority of the respondents felt that the festive season demand met or exceeded their expectations.
Majority of the respondents have indicated an increase in new orders and sales and better capacity utilization levels during the Oct-Dec 2020 quarter.
Concerns around subsequent waves of the pandemic have emerged as the topmost risk to business sentiment for the next six months.
