CII–Knight Frank report titled “Fast-Tracking MMLPs to Enable Modal Shift: India’s Multimodal Logistics Transformation – A Strategic Outlook" was launched at the Multimodal Transportation & Logistics Summit 2026 on 29 May 2026.
The report highlighted that cumulative infrastructure investments over the last decade have significantly reduced logistics costs and improved India’s logistics competitiveness. However, it emphasised that the next phase of transformation would require accelerated development of Multimodal Logistics Parks (MMLPs), stronger first- and last-mile connectivity, integrated freight ecosystems, and greater rail modal share to achieve long-term freight efficiency targets.
