Asia-Pacific has traditionally been a major MedTech manufacturing and consumption hub, with Japan and Australia leading in innovation. Today, countries such as China, India, South Korea and Singapore are increasingly developing and validating their own technologies, creating a new wave of regional innovation.
The report examines how Asia-Pacific MedTech companies can evolve from local manufacturers and innovators into global champions. It highlights the need to strengthen regulatory, clinical, quality, talent and commercialization capabilities, supported by MNCs, investors, governments and the wider ecosystem.
The report was released at the 18th CII Global MedTech Summit, held on 21 August 2026 in New Delhi.
