The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with EY-Parthenon India, today launched a report titled "Vision 2047: India — Building the Innovation Powerhouse of Tomorrow" at the 8th CII Pharma & Lifesciences Summit 2026, on 18 September 2026 in New Delhi.
The report arrives at a defining moment for India's pharmaceutical Industry, an inflection point, where the Indian Pharma Industry is evolving from a cost and volume-driven model to one centred on patients, innovation, technology, and equitable access. Presenting a comprehensive four-pillar roadmap, the report lays out how India can transition from the "Pharmacy of the World" to an "Innovation Hub for the World" by 2047.
