“In todays highly digital ecosystem, Cyber security has to be accorded the same priority as National Security” was the message that echoed at the 4th edition of DX Secure - Conference on Cyber security.
CII Centre for Digital Transformation is organized the 4th edition of its Conference on Cyber Security – DX Secure today. The theme of the Conference was "Innovations in Cybersecurity: Building a Safer Digital Infrastructure." DX Secure –which is the flagship programme of the CII Centre for Digital transformation and is a much awaited platform for Industry , included sessions on Future of CyberSecurity; Cybersecurity and Privacy; Securing the Digital Infrastructure with Blockchain and an interesting session on Gaming Simulation on CyberSecurity, which provided valuable insights into the latest technologies and best practices that can help organizations better prepare for the threats and challenges of the ever evolving cyber security
H.E Diana Mickeviciene, Ambassador, Embassy of Republic of Lithuania said that ” In the current times, wars are being fought not only at the physical level but equally at the cyber level.” She further mentioned that “Lithuania, has been at the fore front of cyber security and has played a key role in strengthening the cyber security infrastructure of countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives . In Lithuania any cyber incident is treated as a national threat and we constantly look for ways to improvise and prevent such attacks”.
Mr. Margus Solnson, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in his address emphasized that Cyber Security should be at the core while designing any product and solution. He also shared the noteworthy initiatives undertaken by Estonia in the field of CyberSecurity,
Dr Gulshan Rai, Former Director General , CERT-in & Former National Cyber Security Coordinator, Govt. of India in his address said that “ We live in a fully connected world and Attack Surface for Cyber incidents have increased manifold hence even if the attack happens in one corner of the world, it affects everyone regardless of where one is .” He further mentioned that “ More than half a million cyber incidents were reported from India last year where the attacks were not only complex but the landscape was heterogenous therefore it takes a lot of effort to resolve these incidents”. Dr Rai also said that “While technology is growing at a fast pace due to market pressure, it is imperative that innovations and Security aspects are given equal priority.”
Mr Amit Sinha Roy, Vice President , Global Head of Marketing & Communications, Tata Communications Ltd mentioned that “ Focus on Cyber security is imperative as organizations digitally transform, since it provides the much needed support in the growth journey of a company” He further highlighted the initiatives being undertaken by the CII Centre for Digital Transformation which has been handholding industry , specially the MSMEs in their digital transformation and helping them envision a roadmap for building their Cyber Security Posture.
